Volunteers Needed!

This year’s Frederick Pagan Pride Day is on Saturday, 28th, from 10 AM – 5 PM. As always, it takes a village to offer our annual outreach festival. We have a number of different volunteer roles which we need to fill throughout the day, which vary in terms of sitting, standing, and moving around, and Volunteer Coordinator Jeff will work with you to find times & roles if you have specific needs. Unfortunately, the Scouts did not respond to our inquiries this year so we will need to have some people to help with parking. All shifts will be for one hour at a time. It’s possible we may add a couple other roles but shifts should largely fall into these categories:

~ Site setup (Friday evening around 5-8 and/or Saturday morning starting at 8am sharp)

~ Donations table (Seated, recording donations as they come in)

~ Parking assistance (Standing, will have radios)

~ Registration booth (Seated role)

~ Vendor liaison (Walking role)

~ First aid (Seated but also roaming “on-call” duty, will have radios. Certified individuals only)

~ General site & security team (Roaming duty, will have radios. Monitoring supplies, refilling water, responding if a security issue arises, etc.)

~ Children’s area (This role does not exist every year, depending on capacity and interest)

~ Close-down (starting around 6pm Saturday)
