2021 Frederick Pagan Pride Day Cancelled

It is with a heavy heart, and after much consideration, that the board of Frederick Pagan Pride Day is canceling our 2021 festival originally slated for September 18th. Our highest priority is the safety and well-being of our festival attendees, staff, presenters, performers, and vendors. Due to the rapid spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19, it is not possible to make our event safe enough for our wonderful community. We are heartbroken to miss you this year.

Next year’s Frederick Pagan Pride Day is slated for Saturday, September 17th, 2022. Most of our vendors are simply shifting their registration to that date.  Many of our wonderful vendors offer online stores.  If you can support them, please do so.  A year with fewer vending opportunities is extremely hard on artists, artisans, and purveyors of beauty and magick.  Visit our vendor page here: https://frederickpaganpride.com/vendors-groups/

Every year, Frederick Pagan Pride Day has been able to make a sizeable donation of food to the Frederick Food Bank and a donation of food and supplies to the Animal Shelter at Frederick Country Animal Control. If you are able, please donate to these wonderful organizations.

We hope you are well, safe, and continuing to practice good pandemic protocols.  The whiplash of pandemic concerns is making late summer into autumn challenging, but we honestly believe that this strange time will pass.  We will come together in community again. We will sing, drum, dance, learn, laugh, and grow with each other. By making the safe choices now, it ensures that we are all present for that bright future.

In love and service,

The Board of the Frederick, Maryland, Pagan Pride Day
